What is a minor arc?

A minor arc is a portion of the circumference of a circle that is less than half of the entire circle. It is defined by two points on the circle and the arc between those two points. The length of a minor arc is always less than the length of a semicircle (an arc that is half of the circle).

Minor arcs are commonly used in geometry and trigonometry to calculate angles, distances, and areas. They are also used in architecture, engineering, and art to create curved shapes and designs. Minor arcs can be classified based on their size, position, and relationship to other arcs in a circle.
